JANUARY TO MARCH 2026: WHAT IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES? ENDURING THROUGH AND THROUGH

I may not be certain of how you are feeling or what exactly you are going through but as a fellow human being, I know that there must be a situation or situations that you could be facing that are either exciting or dismaying.

I am placing these thoughts together two days after I attended burial of one of the leaders (Chairman LC1) within my local area who passed away in an accident on Friday February 27, 2026 somewhere, between Luweero and Wobulenzi (as told). When I first got the news, it didn’t occur to me that the name I heard was relating to the person I knew. I can’t tell why I thought it was another person. It happens for the mind. It was not until I went to see one of the engineers in the business center that I got clear information that the person who had passed on was the leader I knew. He was no more! Further information was that the people he was moving with, had also died. Such pain!

The past two months of 2026 have been marred with news of deaths here and there. If not through accidents, there were brutal murders. May God intervene and save me and everyone else from death. I know it will come at some point but I pray for mercy in accordance with what is written in God’s word. I request us to take some time and read Psalm 91 with emphasis on verse 16 to effect that with long life, God will satisfy us and show us his salvation.

I imagine and believe that all the people who die had plans for the future. Death cut them short. Many (if not all) of us do not know when we will be leaving this world tragedy always reminds us to be prepared or ready all the time. Each new day is an opportunity for me and you to live life to the fullest; to enjoy each moment individually and in association with fellow beings.

Think about everyone in your life. For those who are in relationships including marriage, think about your spouse. Think about your parents, relatives, friends; your child or children; your neighbor(s) and community members. What situation will you leave behind in case you dropped dead right now? Have you prepared yourself and the people in your circle well that even if you departed now, all that shall be left would be the pain of separation? What would people remember you for? Does it matter, anyway that you must be remembered? Do you have a Will? Have you had vivid conversation with your close people regarding your present and future life? Would there be order when you leave planet earth?

The month of March is here. I choose life. I choose peace and justice for myself and to strive to see that those around are not hurt in any way by my actions or inaction. I pray that we will be intentional about each day, asking for God’s mercy and grace.

I pray for God’s blessings over our lives. I pray that the thoughts of our minds and the labor of our hands will yield hundred-fold and more. May the joy of God’s salvation fill our lives. I pray for tolerance and patience amongst ourselves. I uproot hatred wherever it had been planted; I uproot poverty and misery. I uproot disease and discomfort. I plant faith, hope and love with the greatest being love to lead us all the way.
