JANUARY 2025 | ONLY BY GOD’S GRACE


HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2025!

I thank God for this new day, week, month and year. See how far God has brought us!

I am mindful that we started the year in the middle of the week (a Wednesday) and today, Monday feels like the first week of the year. We have already had half a week! Whatever the case it may be, this is the sixth day of the year, 2025 and we are grateful to God our Creator for this far we have come, Ebenezer!

Within a split of a second, blink of the eye between 11:59pm on 31st December 2024 and 12:00am on 1st January 2025, we had the cross-over from 2024 into 2025. Just like that! I know for a fact that the person who yelled at the new year and the one who was in their bed asleep both crossed over and are here today. Life continues to remind us to be humble at all times.

The Bible reminds us in Ecclesiastes 9:11 that the race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to all of us. God knows best what is good for each of us. In some and most cases, all we have to do is take our position in the Lord and He will fight for us; He will lead us on; He will bring us to our destination.

To the people I have met along life's awesome journey, I am grateful to God!  At times, I ask myself what would have happened if we hadn't met? The answer is: "nothing." "We would never have known each other and life would still go on. There are people I haven’t met yet and some I shall never meet. Life goes on, anyway. But now that we did meet and exchanged contact, I find it worthy to reach out to you on rather, a regular basis so as to keep up with our relationship.

Regarding this year, 2025, these are my thoughts towards you. I do;

  1. Love you;
  2. Pray for you;
  3. Respect you;
  4. Wish you well. Not just you but all the people in your circle.
  5. Value your thoughts towards me and value my thoughts towards you.

Let's face 2025 with the confidence that we hold on the inside of us. Let's look life in the eye and tell it that we value it so much. Let it know that it is our greatest treasure.

I pray that the ‘things’ in your life that didn’t work out well in the past that didn't work out yet they were supposed to work out SHALL work out in this new year. May the ‘things’ that defeated you shall be defeated in this year. I pray that the people who fought you in the past WILL fight you NO MORE. I pray that 2025 shall be full of love, joy, peace, forgiveness, hard work and a focus on growth and fruitfulness. 

This year, like many that have passed, calls for more faith. We are reminded in Mathew 17:20 that if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we will say to ‘this’ mountain, “move from here to there;” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for us. Let us trust God one hundred percent. No wavering, no deviation.
