APRIL 2024 | A REASON TO CELEBRATE LIFE

 

The old is gone, the new has come!

Whenever a month ends and we start another one, it is almost rare that we look at or consider the number of past days and those ahead of us. I am certain that many of us keep considering the present day with a hope that we shall get into the next. That's okay.

Welcome to April, 2024! 

It is the month where we will be engaging at higher level and with a lighter gear. It's at a time where we have already engaged the first, second, third and now on the fourth. In the automobile language, we are at high speed and considering that the road is flat, unless we find a climb, humps or any disruptions, it shall be unlikely for us to reduce speed. Let's keep moving.

Happy days to all of us...

There are people who are looking forward to celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, receiving of babies in the family, salary increment, promotions, among others. That's okay. Congratulations to those who are through with the celebrations. Look out for more reasons to celebrate this month.

Sympathies...

There are people who have been and are are going through some challenges some of which seems to be very persistent right from the start of the year. I may not have the right words to tell you save for the fact that your Creator knows you much better than any human being. Of course, my desire, wish and prayer is that we should all live a life devoid of problems and stressing issues. But what does one do when problems come? The first thing is to accept that they have come our way and then see how to manage them so that they do not overwhelm us. Each of us was created with ability to face giants and as much as possible, pull them down. We must pull them down, and we are pulling problems down this month.

Living realities...

As it is, we will have news every other day. Positive news and negative news shall go into and through our ears but my prayer is that we will appreciate the positives and work towards sustaining good news while at the same time dealing with the negatives to convert them into positives where we can. Where we cannot change anything, we must continue striving for change. It will come, some day. We cannot give up advocating for better for ourselves and for the entire universe. Together, we can change the bad into good, whether it civil, political, economic, social or otherwise.

Personal reflection is key...

At the start and end of each day, we must get to a room where we ask ourselves the hard questions such as, "what did I achieve today?" "Whom did I meet today? Did I bless them? Did they bless me?" "What do I want to do tomorrow and how will I do it?" "What do I want to achieve this month? How shall I get to that?" If we can have answers to these questions, we will be good to go. And, we are indeed, good to go.

My wishes and prayers...

Let me wish each of us the very best of April as I remember and pray for people by the name "April". Let's pray for one another as much as possible and at every opportunity that we may get. Let's love one another as much as possible at every opportunity we have, remembering that all other ground is but sinking sand. What does one gain by being rude, tough, intolerant towards fellow human beings? What does one gain by violating or abusing another person's rights and freedoms? Have they forgotten that we are all living to leave? What is it that people shall remember you for? Will it be for doing good or for causing discomfort for others? Whose hustle are you supporting? Let one help one if we are to make this world a better place to live.
