WEEKLY DEVOTION WITH RMA | IT IS BY GOD’S GRACE

1 Corinthians 3:10:

“BY THE GRACE GOD HAS GIVEN ME, I LAID A FOUNDATION AS A WISE BUILDER, AND SOMEONE ELSE IS BUILDING ON IT. BUT EACH ONE SHOULD BUILD WITH CARE.”

Ephesians 2:8:

“FOR IT IS BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED, THROUGH FAITH – AND THIS IS NOT FROM YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD…”

A very warm welcome to this new week where we expect to experience more of God’s goodness and power like never before. We are concluding the first quarter of the year and we know that it is the grace of God that is carrying us through, one day at a time. It is this week as well, that ushers me into my forty-first birthday. I speak into Wednesday March 20. May the angels set it apart and sanctify it for the glory of God as I continue to grow in wisdom and stature in the footsteps of my Lord and Master.

By the way, if you know, you know and if you don’t know, you don’t know. It sounds obvious but it is a powerful statement that we can never take for granted. Yesterday, as I walked through the trading center of my place of aboard, I met a gentleman whom I had contracted to do some work for us. After greeting him, I inquired of him regarding when he would complete the assignment. His response was that it would take him some time to complete the work because about two weeks ago, he had been involved in a terrible accident that almost claimed his life. His right “upper shoulder-joint had broken and his hand was evidently swollen. He was unable to do anything on his own but with assistance of someone.

This struck me to think and indeed, I told him that I keep on learning from life’s experiences that we ought to live each day as though it is the last. His description of the accident makes one marvel at how he survived but just know, it was terrible. The grace of God is what is sustaining this man, just as it is sustaining each of us.

Every time we sleep and wake up; every time we embark on a journey and arrive and return safely; every time we go through a meeting successfully without arguing and fighting; every time we start and end a day alive despite the issues of life; we ought to give glory, thanks, honor and praise to God, Almighty.

Okay…

Uganda and other nations of the world are built upon their own foundations. My house and home plus other houses and homes in the world are built upon foundations of their own. What God is telling us this week is to be careful to watch the foundations upon which our lives are built. We might have to shake and uproot certain foundations should we discover that they are shaky and built upon sand. They ought to be built upon hard rock and concrete.

I speak into this week that God shall multiply his grace and favor upon each of us. I pray for the sick that they shall be healed; I pray for those nursing wounds and broken hearts that God shall comfort, strengthen and give them new focus in life. I pray for those traveling near and far that God shall grant them journey mercies. In all situations of life, I pray that God’s grace shall be sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9).

I pray for leadership at all levels. I pray for family heads be they children, women or men. I pray for all employers and employees of whatever level and mode. I pray for all professionals. May God grant us enough grace and provision and may God supply every need according to his riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

I speak into every enemy or evil attack this week and render it powerless. I declare and proclaim that we will not die this week but rather, we will live to tell of God’s wonderful deeds in our lives. We are more than winners; we have already won both today and the days to come. Amen.

Let us love one another, more than ever before. Love covers pain, heals, delivers us from bondage.
