IT IS A NEW YEAR 2024 | WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?


Luke 8:22-25

One day Jesus said to His disciples, “Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into the boat and started out…As they sailed across, Jesus settled down for a nap. But soon, a fierce storm came down on the lake. The boat was filling with water, and they were in real danger. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Master. Master, we’re going to drown!” When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Suddenly, the storm stopped and all was calm. Then he asked them, “Where is your faith?   The disciples were terrified and amazed. “Who is this man? they asked each other. When he gives a command, even the wind and waves obey him!”

Praise and honor be unto God now and forevermore.

Happy new year, 2024!

A very warm welcome to you and loved ones to this amazing and wonderful year! This is my year, it is your year. This is our year of great exploits.

2023 is gone, never to be seen again. 2024 is here to be seen through the twelve (12) months. We got into our boat and we have crossed over! We have overcome! I believe.

Please allow me to thank each and every one of you who walked the past year with me and my people (much as you are also my personal person). I pray that we will walk 2024 together. The year is long (365 days) but with good company and by God’s grace, it shall end well and we will see many more years ahead.

No doubt, we will have good and peaceful time but we are mindful as well, that we will encounter some storms and raging winds or waves. The good thing is that we have someone in the boat whom we can call and He will calm the storms. We will never walk alone. He has promised never to leave us, never to forsake us [Hebrews 13:5]. He will carry us through the turbulence.

Some of you might be aware that I lost my biological father on December 13, 2023. That was a heavy storm for me and our family, relatives and friends. If we didn’t have Jesus in that storm, it could have consumed us. But when we called on His name, He comforted us and is still with us to the end of the age.

I proclaim and declare that this year and the years ahead, we shall not die but live; we shall see and tell of God’s goodness in this land of the living [Psalm 118:17]. There are situations that came our way in 2023 that hurt us so much but I declare that 2024 has come with gladness and goodness to the extent that even when challenging situations arise, they shall find us embedded and hidden in God, our refuge and strength; ever present help in time of trouble [Psalm 46:1].

There are people we met in the past year(s) whom we shall continue to interact with. There are also people whom we met and might never meet again either by choice or because of life’s dictate circumstances. There are things we did in the past year(s) that we shall do again and again this year but there are also things we will never do again. It is a new year and we must take deliberate decisions right from the start. We cannot afford to regret at the end of the year yet we had all the time to make informed decisions.

Planning, financial discipline and accountability shall be very important aspects of our lives in 2024. We must learn to respect all the money that God gives us and remember that if we don’t discipline ourselves, it will pass through our hands, just like that. We must understand that money shall never be enough but we can utilize that which we have to satisfy each and every need that stands or sits before us. This will involve living within our means. The moment we spread beyond, we will borrow and the moment we borrow, financial slavery shall have set in.  

We must have faith this year. We will look up to the hills and to the mountains but will never appreciate life until we realize that our help shall come from the Lord God Almighty who made heaven and earth [Psalm 121]. You might have options and areas where your help might come from but some of us have only GOD from whom all thoughts and plans of our hearts reside. Without Him, 2024 is empty; a typical abyss.

2024 calls for high sense of love, reason and action. We must have compassion and also think through everything before we take any action in life. Everyone matters. Let us live in harmony. Let everyone encourage everyone.

    I believe that we shall overcome having God in the boat my eyes,heart,hope and faith is in the Lord. May God do you good Sir for the spiritual food given to us.

    Happy New Year Robert. God has once again allowed us to cross over to yet another new year! 2023 hasn't been easy and we shouldn't expect 2024 to be any easier. We need instead learn from 2023 how to manage and over come the new year.
    In 2023 you lost a father. To a man it means a lot. Re-strategizing, learning and re-learning,etc. May his soul rest in peace.
    I however believe that God's ways are different from our ways. He knows why things happen when they happen and we therefore need to accept what he does when and how he does it.
    2023 hasn't been easy and neither should we expect 2024 to be any easier. However, we should use our experience in the 2023 events to manage 2024. As HRDs we need to tighten our belts and be ready to speak for the voiceless. We're going towards another way of elections and some aspiring candidates are already on the ground. Let's stand up to be counted in the struggle against abuse and misuse of peoples rights.

  Greetings! ​  We are still in the third week of 2025!  We did set off. The plane took off, already. We are on flight. First things first... How do you feel right now? Are you okay? Are your people okay? Is everything around you okay? If all is fine, thank and trust God more. If all is NOT that fine, pray and trust God to carry you through it all. All that I need is for you to be fine each day. The year seems to be running fast already. We are drawing to the end of January. Have you noticed?
