THIS LIFE IS BORROWED | RETURN TO CREATOR
INTRODUCTION
The death of Dad reminds me that I have just one life to live - here on earth. I shall be gone - some day. I must be prepared...
Dear
Family and Friends,
All
Protocol observed;
My
name is Robert MUGISA ABWOOLI.
On
behalf of the Late Musana Family, I am so grateful to God for the gift of life
that we still have today. Some people have left this world not because they
wanted to leave but because their time had come to pass. I believe so.
On
Wednesday December 13, 2023, Mr. Musana Joseph Adyeeri breathed his last a
Mulago Hospital, Waed 3A. He was laid to rest on Friday December 15, 2023 at
Kamakune/Kibokoli Village in Kigarama Cell; Kiko Town Council; Ruteete Sub-
County, Burahya County; Kabarole district.
Dad
was a great man who lived all his adult life serving as a Police Officer from
1986 till retirement in 2021. At the time of his demise, he had been was
serving as Minister for Security in Toro Kingdom. We thank God for the
opportunity to live, move and serve with him. We pray that his wonderful soul
shall continue to rest in everlasting peace, amen.
Dad
was a very honest man who always looked out for the truth and wanted everyone
to live by the truth. He sought knowledge and information and that is why he
bought a newspaper every day. Dad lived a selfless life because he wanted
people to get everything they wanted. He was responsible for us and for all
people under his care. Whenever he took us to school or any other place where
we were to spend some time, he made sure that he handed us over to someone who
would take good care of us. At Nyakasura School, he handed me to Rev. Charles
Ndolerire Ateenyi and at Namirembe Hillside, to Mr. Robet Kyaligonza Adyeeri.
He wished the very best for us.
Dad
wasn't a saint. Given his nature of work and life, he could have stepped on
some people’s toes and hurt them so bad. I know of some incidents where Dad was
confronted in line of his work. But that is now gone. I request that if there
is anyone whom Dad hurt in the course of his work, please forgive him so that
he has no roadblock to his destination. I am available in case anyone wishes to
tell me anything that was left hanging/unresolved by Dad.

For those who might not be aware, Mom has never given up on any of us despite
the heaviness of heart she has borne in nursing every time of us got ill. I
will tell you for a fact that Mom has so far lost three of us and Dad becomes
the fourth. It is not easy to bear but here she is. The grace of God has
covered her and given her strength to persevere and to endure. She has overcome
and she will overcome some day.

DAD’S PLIGHT AND ILLNESS
What
I know is that when Dad retired in August 2021, he spent a little time and
started treating or handling Diabetes and Pressure. As these advanced, the
diabetes affected both of his kidneys and the pressure affected his brain.
About a month or so before Dad’s demise, he could hardly recognize or remember
anyone. He had also lost his speech. So, it was hard to communicate with him.
On
the night of December 8, 2023, Dad was very unwell and through the grace of God
working through Uncle David Magezi and Hon. Margert Muhanga, Mum secured an
Ambulance from Kabarole Referral Hospital that took Dad to Kampala on Saturday
December 9, 2023. We thank God for Mr. Kabuketa Abooki; Nurse Rose Akiiki;
Wensi Tulinawe and Simon Talemwa who accompanied Dad on the Ambulance, We
greatly appreciate the Driver of the Ambulance.
That
Saturday, we saw Dr. Matovu who referred us to Ruby Hospital, Lugogo where an
MRI scan was done on/for Dad.
From
there we took Dad home (Mr. and Mrs. Baira’s home in Bukoto where we spent the
whole of day, Sunday.
On
Monday morning December 11, 2023, we took Dad to Mulago Hospital and saw Dr.
Muhumza who having reviewed the previous results, gave us admission so that Dad
could be managed from the facility, Ward 3A.
We
thank God for all the nurses who attended to Dad including Aunt Ruth Katuutu
Abwooli who stood by Dad and ministered to him all through.
We
thank God for all people who stayed at the hospital and helped here and there
to see that Dad got all that he needed.
NEXT STEPS
I
pledge to serve from this Nation from where Dad has stopped.
Our
family has always been united and it shall continue as such. We will continue
to pray together and celebrate life to the full remembering that as it is
written in John 10:10, the devil came to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus
came that we may have life and life in abundance. As a family, we receive
that life and a blessing from God that shall add no sorrow unto us. Amen.
Rest
well, Afande Joseph Musana Adyeeri.
Amen. May the God Lord keep comforting you, brother Robert.
