THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2023_PREPARE FOR TOMORROW TODAY
This
is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will
come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place. “For I
know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and
not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future…”
Welcome
to September, 2023; the ninth month of the year! It is a month like no other
where we will see the baby we have been carrying for these nine months getting
born. This is about science; it is about biology (if I may say). This is about
what we have known over time; it is judicial notice.
No
one can deny the fact that we have crossed over from August into September.
THANK GOD! We have overcome. This is so amazing! What a great way to get into
the weekend! Of course there are those in category one who will spend time anyhow and there are those in category two
who will take moments of reflection
to look back at where they have come from and where they are heading. I belong
to category two. Smiles.
Praise
God! Again I say, praise God! If we don’t praise God, who else? With due
respect, I acknowledge that there are people here-living who do not believe
that there is God but that is not the concern of the day. What matters
is that we are in this life together and that you have received the message. At the end
of it all, we will be influenced by our belief system.
September gives us the opportunity to continue preparing for tomorrow today. Like I have mentioned, it is the month where the pregnant woman or mother prepares to give birth to what she has been carrying in her womb. Everyone is eagerly waiting to see what baby she is about to deliver. This is what life is about - expectation. As we wait, we have to prepare by making sure that we can get onto the move any time the labor pains strike or hit. We must keep ready; we must have a plan of action.
Allow
me share these three areas that we shall focus on:
1. Watch
and pray: The world we live in today requires us to watch
carefully whatever is going on within and around us. We must recognize everything
within our environment and speak into and pray over and about it. We must pray
that everything shall work out for good and not for bad; for better and not for
worse.
2. Work
towards prosperity: The season of poverty is done. Some of
us were born in abject poverty but by God’s grace, we have got out of the
poverty situation. We must keep on looking out for opportunities (as we watch
and pray) through which will advance and prosper in life. Prosperity breeds
peace of mind because it is about positive steps into the future we so much
desire or long for.
3. Love
for love’s sake: Do not expect anything in return for
loving yourself and people. Be kind to everyone who crosses your path. It is
okay if you know them but even if you don’t, love creation. Each of us was born
alone but we found people on earth and people have found us here. We live to
leave but the difference is always in how we live and how we leave. The more we
love, the more we respect each other. Never make anyone uncomfortable. True
love breeds and brings comfort and security for trust.
Wishing
you the very best of the month. Safe delivery!
