TRUST GOD MORE | WEEKLY REFLECTION WITH ROBERT MUGISA ABWOOLI

MONDAY 17TH APRIL 2023

A very warm welcome to this day and week! I thank God for the fact that we are alive and well today. This is the day that The Lord has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:2). Even though life may not be that good or well, at least, we are alive. Glory to God! I request you to take a personal moment (just a few seconds) to close your eyes and say, “THANK GOD I AM ALIVE TODAY.”

We MUST learn and continue to give THANKS to God because we have never paid up any money or anything to have the breath that we take per second of our lives. There are many who have since passed away from the face of the earth and, however much one might search for them, they are long gone. But we are here! I am one of those who are happy to pray for you as we continue to wait upon the goodness and favor of God, Almighty, upon each of us and our loved ones.

Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our heart(s) and lean not on our own understanding; in all our ways we ought to acknowledge God and He will direct or guide our path(s)/steps. Amen? Amen!

It is a fresh day and week that offers us a blank page on which to write our thoughts, declarations and aspirations. Ultimately, we must reach a point where God blesses us because of the prayers that we keep on making in or by faith. Our God cares for us and all he requires of/from us is faith as little as a mustard seed by which we can command any situation in our lives to change for better (Mathew 17:20).

I know that there are many people who are hurting and those at the verge of giving up in life or giving up on relationships (and marriage). The question is whether they are very sure that they will find everything they want/need where they are planning to go next. Sometimes, it is good to wait in the hardest of situations and cry out to God to change the situation. I am confident and if we pray and trust God, something good will work out somehow, at some point. Running away is not the best solution (except in exceptional circumstances).

I pray that we will enable us to love and cherish one another; that we shall be kind enough to all the people we meet in and along life. Let us work towards avoiding cheap and negative talk. We must avoid lamenting but rather live up to the mark of achievers by remaining resilient through it all. As the adage goes, “patience pains but pays.” Those who wait (upon the Lord) shall renew their strength.

I wish you a very fruitful day/week as we continue to trust God for better tomorrows. We cancel every plan of the evil one(s) and declare that NO weapon formed against us shall prosper; that we are more than winners today, tomorrow and the days to come. We will live and not die; we will proclaim the good deeds of our God and Creator. Amen.
