CROSSING FROM FEBRUARY INTO MARCH 2023 | DEVOTION WITH RMA
Tomorrow is a new day
and month. We are getting ushered into the month of March 2023 which also
doubles as my birth month. I thank God for all people who celebrated their birthdays
in January and February. March also has babies like me and all birth month-mates.
We look up to God for more of his favor, love and grace. We stand in the power
of the word as written in Proverbs 23:18
to declare that there is surely a future and hope for us and that our
expectation from or in the Lord shall not be cut off.
Looking at everything
that surrounds us, the world seems rather challenging and scary but to us, the
most important thing we ought to focus on is the living faith in God our
Creator. We are constantly reminded in Proverbs
3:5-6 to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own
understanding; to acknowledge God in all our ways and he will make our paths
straight or direct our paths.
As we head into the new month in what I am referring to as transiting into a new horizon, I pray that God will do these five-fold things:
- Touch and heal the sick according to his word in Mathew 15:30 where great crowds went to Jesus taking to him the lame, blind, crippled, mute and many others and laid them at his feet and he healed them all. We pray for mending of every sick or broken heart.
- Provide and supply all our needs according to his word in Philippians 4:19 where it is written that our God will meet all our needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
- Make ways for us where there seems to be no way or where there is no way at all. We see in Exodus 14:21-22 that Moses the great servant of God stretched out his hand over the sea and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right hand and on their left.
- Fight for us every battle and overcome on our behalf as it is written in Deuteronomy 1:30 that the Lord who goes before us will himself fight for us, just as he did for the Egyptians before their eyes. In Isaiah 54:17, it is written that no weapon fashioned against us shall succeed and that we will refute every tongue that rises against us in judgment for this is our heritage as servants of the Lord and vindication from our God.
- Bless leadership at all levels so that we will see growth and development in our country and in all nations of the world. Hebrews 13:1 calls on all of us to submit ourselves to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. We are also called upon in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 to make supplications or petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving for all people – for Kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
We proclaim and declare
that we are more than overcomers; we are winners that there shall be no room
for failure; no room for pain or agony in our lives and that even though
suffering shall befall us, we shall remember that Jesus has overcome the world
and that in accordance with God’s word in Psalm
30:5, though weeping may endure for a night, our joy shall surely be
revealed in the morning.
We trust God for a very
fruitful future. To God be the glory, honor and praise. Amen.
