MONDAY 8TH AUGUST 2022 | WEEKLY DEVOTION WITH ROBERT MUGISA ABWOOLI (RMA)
SCRIPTURE: PSALM 28:1-9
Greetings! It's a new day, a new
week! We are in/on the eighth day of August 2022 and we are grateful to God
that we are alive today. God determines the seasons and times of our lives.
I thank God for the civil,
political, economic, social and cultural environment in which we live today.
I thank God for our children who are
back home for holidays. I pray that as parents, we shall rejoice in the
responsibility of taking care of our dear children. I pray for people/spouses
who are believing God for the gift of children.
Today is a great day; this is a
great week. Yesterday is gone; we have today and many more tomorrows ahead.
Let's smile as we go through the day and week.
God is our strength and our shield,
our hearts trust in him and we are helped.
Who is your shield? What is your
shield? Where is your shield? Some people keep spears and shields in their
houses. That's okay; that's good. But we need God more than the physical
weapons.
As we think about the physical
weapons, we equally have to think about the spiritual weapons. Physical battles
are won after "winning" them in the spiritual arena.
May God give is joy beyond measure
because the joily of the Lord is our strength; God is our shield and we will
not fear. Whatever we are going through shall come to pass. All we have to do
is *trust in the Lord.*
I cancel plans and works of the evil
one. I declare that we are more than conquerors.
May God help us through it
all.
Amen.
