THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER, 2021_IT IS NEVER LATE: START AND RESTART
Praise God in the highest! Amen!
I am happy to be alive today and to
share with you my thoughts and my life. It is a wonderful privilege to know
that while I am this side writing and putting my thought to paper, there is
another person [you] the other side receiving, reading, contemplating upon and
sharing my message. This gives me reason to think and write even more! Wow!
Are you okay? Are your immediate and
extended loved ones okay? Are they fine? Let me hope and believe so because my
best wishes are always resident with you.
We considered the theme of restoration at the beginning of October
2021 and before we move so far, we see and thank God that the thirty-one days
are already out of the way. Here we are embarking on another journey of thirty days
that make up the month of November 2021.
Allow me introduce to you my theme
which, if you may, adopt as well to carry us through this month – “It
is never late, Start and Restart.”
Why is the Spirit giving me/us this
theme? It is because towards the end of the year, we tend to be anxious ether
because we didn’t accomplish much as earlier planned or because we can’t wait
[we are eager] to celebrate the achievements of the year and then cross over to
the next.
Friends, allow me speak to the
person who thinks 2021 has been tight and feels as though hope is gone. No!
Hope must be kept alive. We have God who is never too early and never too late;
he is never early, he is never late; he is always on time! Amen? Amen. The Bible
tells us in 2 Corinthians 6:2 that “… in
the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. I
tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”
We also read from Ecclesiastes 3:11 that God
has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the
hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
As we walk life’s journey, we ought
to remember that each of us was wonderfully and fearfuly made/created according
to what’s written in Psalm 139:14.
We may also recall that Jeremiah 29:11 tells
us that God knows the plans he has for us; plans to prosper us and not to
destroy us; plans to give us a future and a hope. This relates with the
fact that God has each of us inscribed/engraved in the palms of his hands; our
walls are before him.
Let us let go of the past. Let us
embrace the new month with positivity. Let’s start afresh and where the past
seems to reflect on our “screens,” let us do a reboot or overhaul of our lives.
Let’s ask ourselves/examine our lives in relation to the past ten months and
see the areas where we have achieved and those where we haven’t. Let’s keep
asking ourselves why we made it and why we didn’t. Then respond and act
accordingly. If it means taking off time alone, do so.
We can only get better! We cannot go
back to pain and suffering. We cannot go back to ignorance and naivety. We
cannot go back to being mistreated and abused. We cannot go back to poverty and
situations of desiring we were other people. No! We are who we are and we can
start with what we have, from where we are, right now!
In the interest of time and moving
on to something else [for me and for you], let me request us to think of five
people who have supported us to reach where we are today. Let’s offer a prayer of thanks giving to God for them
and pray that we too shall be a blessing to them in a big way. Amen? Amen. Let’s
ask God to enlarge/expand/increase our boundaries/territories/spaces this
month so that we will get into December more fruitful and blessed simply
because we chose to start afresh, restart and accept to be led by the Spirit
and Will of the Lord, our Creator.
Wishing you a great November and
look forward to hearing your testimony between this day (1st) and 30th
of the month.
